The summer passed fast, with some really hot weather, which prompted
me to get the parts to install an
underdash AC unit. The hoses have to be custom made, but everything
else is set to go.
I purchased an industrial air compressor which makes life really easy. I changed out all 4 shocks which were badly rusted, and I've also changed the radiator, as the old one was finished. I installed a triple core rad which really makes a difference in the cooling especially when its 95 degrees outside.
I've done some engine detailing as well, painting the air cleaner assembly and the valve covers. The other pulleys and water pump will have to be painted by hand with some POR15.
I have a mag that is not centered well on the hub, so I am in the process of making a ring that will go over the hub and take up the space between the hub and the center of the wheel. At this time, I get a wicked vibration above 60 MPH. This can be a good thing - I'll never get a ticket.
I'll have some pics soon of the last car show of the season that was held in Cornwall, Ontario the weekend of Sept. 8
