UPDATE: NOVEMBER, 2000: The car is
now in storage in a nice place, where I can actually work on it, if I ever
have any more spare time. I did a complete tune up on the engine
(351W). I went as far as putting in Bosch Platinum plugs - car seems to
start easier. I have to replace the battery next spring.
I had a can of the Starsky red (Ford color
2B) mixed in the summer, and, I decided to paint the roof, as it was all
primer and looked awful. I ran out of the Dupont activator, and replaced
it with a product called WET LOOK activator. From the pic below, the gloss
is fantastic, with no wet sanding or polishing. That's the way I'll go.
It's hard to tell from here, but the shine and color is tremendous.
The pipe in the foreground is part of the frame of my driveway tent for
the winter.
